The new health care law caused my health care plan to start waiving the deductible for preventative care. Formerly, I would have had to shell out 3,000 before I got a dime covered. Now, I am able to have one physical a year as well as prenatal care.

If it were not for the change in my insurance, I would not have been able to afford prenatal care. I am now expecting my first baby in a month. The baby’s immunizations and well baby visits will also have the deductible waived.

So, thank you. Without these changes, I would have had to put off having a child.

Thank you, Obamacare.

I got scared today when I got a hospital bill in the mail, only to remember that since I’m covered on my parents’ insurance until I’m 26, I could get the bill taken care of without emptying my bank account (not exaggerating on that one) to do so.

Things like this are really important to a 19 year old college student who works part time and has to save every penny for things like rent and food, especially when hospital services are so astronomically expensive.

So, thanks Obamacare.

I’m 28. My parents’ corporate employer covered me until I was 25 even without the mandate to do so. I went from that to my own employer-provided coverage, had a year of nothing when I left that job, and now I’m on my husband’s employer-provided insurance. All of those had no problem covering everything needed or that I can imagine needing. Not that they were perfect, but I’m healthy so I don’t have big complaints.

But I’m still in favor of Obamacare. Because not everyone is as lucky as I am, and I’m not heartless enough to want them to suffer as a result. We live in too wealthy of a country for people to die and go broke because of stupid health stuff.

I love Obamacare.

Thank you, Obamacare.

Because of Obamacare, I can stay on my mom’s health insurance for a few years. This helps cover my prescription coverage which pays for my birth control.

Without the pill, I get huge ovarian cysts. Before Obama got his plan through, I wasn’t covered, and ended up missing two days of work when the last one erupted. I almost missed my final exam while in the ER for it. Great times.

So thanks, Obama! Now I don’t have to miss work because of this issue!!! <3

Maybe you’ve seen this photo going around.
It’s two years to the day since President Obama signed health care reform into law, and there are thousands of stories like this out there.
If one of them is yours, share it by completing this sentence: “I like Obamacare because…” And break out paper and a marker to take a photo if you’ve got ‘em handy.
