I am a 24 year-old teacher, artist, member of the LGBTQ community, grad student. I want to personally thank President Obama and Vice President Biden for being champions for me and my colleagues.
We struggle with low income, spotty benefits, student debt, and pressure to survive financially in these years of our early 20s and I could not be more grateful for the President’s support for what we do and who we are. In addition to effecting real and positive change for struggling young adults in America, he is setting an inspiring example for the children of the country with his inclusive views and positive attitudes. I am proud to share these years of the Obama presidency with my young students as they see this beautiful example of leadership and acceptance from their President.
